The Wonder of Implants

Losing a tooth is, for whatever reason, is not a prospect that anyone relishes. In the past the solutions to replace that tooth have been to have a bridge or removable partial denture made or just do nothing. Bridges are costly and in many cases unnecessarily destroy health tooth structure.I personally lost one of my front teeth and I know it can be an embarrassing situation. My temporary bridge broke and I had to wait several days for a replacement. So how did I resolve the missing tooth? I had an implant placed where the tooth was extracted. I was surprised at the ease of the procedure, much easier than a root canal! My doctor got me numb, started the nitrous oxide, I put on my Ipod and before I new it was completed. I later had a beautiful porcelain crown placed on the implant. In many cases a temporary crown can be placed on the implant immediately. I love my implant! I can't tell the difference between the implant and my natural teeth.
