Neuromuscular Dentistry, what is it? It differs from traditional dentistry by taking into account the staus and function of the muscles that control jaw position, chewing and swallowing. For years medicine has been utilizing computer technology to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Dentist have taken the steps to bring computers into service for treating our clients. We now have the ability to measure and study the paths the jaw travels during its opening and closing cycles to a tenth of a millimeter. Technology very similar to electrocardiograms allows us to monitor muscle activity.
